  • Tonya Almond

    Tonya Almond is an innovative event strategist who has enjoyed a distinguished and successful career in the meetings/events industry for over 25 years. Throughout her career in association management she has helped organizations meet and exceed their financial goals through her strategic vision, product and event design, and business development. In her current role at PCMA, she heads up the organization’s efforts to demonstrate the importance of business events, with the goal of transforming the design, learning and information-sharing universe. Tonya and her team drive positive change by positioning PCMA as the platform where knowledge is shared with members through extraordinary experiences and multi-channel engagement. In the process, because of their collective professional experiences and personal connections, PCMA is in a unique position to transform the world through business events economically and socially. The content developed by Tonya and her colleagues influences how the industry views itself and inspires members and attendees to take ideas back to their own communities to make a difference.

    Prior to PCMA, Tonya served as Vice President, Meetings and Continuing Education at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for 8+ years, and before that held senior level roles for two non-profit organizations, overseeing event strategy, exhibits/sponsors and meetings services. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband, Dave, their two boys and their boxer, Izzy.

  • Christie Wereski

    Christie Wereski is a motivated and dedicated leader working to create a positive culture and professional experience in real estate education. Responsible for curriculum design, development, and delivery of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, REALTORS® Real Estate School education portfolio. She has enjoyed the ability to be innovative through her work, finding solutions to fit the needs of students and members. During her tenure Christie has established two Learning Management Systems as well as the delivery of courses through a hybrid model. As new technology becomes available she leads her team to innovate to offer a valuable interactive course experience for attendees live and virtual.
    Christie has been with the Chicago Association of REALTORS® for 10 years with a focus on curriculum and delivery for the last 5 years. She currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two boys.
