CMDA and DTS Dialogues |Engaging in Challenging Times LIVE

Thank you

Description

You are invited to join us for a special webinar as we explore how Christians in today’s challenging culture can effectively engage and be God’s light in a dark world.

Dr. Bock will initially consider six key texts on engagement and discuss how the church has been misdirected in many of its engagement approaches based on these texts in recent culture war efforts. We will address questions like:

  • How do we engage with people who come from a very different place than we do?
  • How do we do so without a fight or fear of retribution?
  • Even more, how do we engage in an institutional context where what is decided often places the believer in tension between where they are in their conscience and what the institution is asking of them?

There are no easy answers to the dilemma this places us in, but how do we engage well in that situation where Scripture calls us to be light, draw people toward God, be gracious and yet represent God well in how we interact in such challenging circumstances?

Dr. Bolender will moderate and lead us through a time of Q&A, and we will even discuss specific scenarios to think through together. We invite you to bring your questions to the discussion as we reflect on some of the harder realities we face as we live in a pluralistic world.

Note: When registering, if you don't have an account already, you will need to create a CMDA account when prompted.
