Climate Justice and Children's Health: Inspiring Youth to Advocate for Climate Action

Climate change disproportionately affects the physical and mental health of children, especially those from low-income families and communities of color. Youth have a powerful voice to advocate for climate action, but most schools do not educate students on these topics.

Public health professionals are uniquely qualified to fill the gap in educating youth about the health impacts of climate change and engaging them in advocating for climate justice in their communities.

In this webinar, we will:

  • Explain the disparities in how climate change affects children's health.
  • Illustrate the role health professionals can play in educating youth.
  • Describe an educational tool for youth.
  • Feature youth leaders working on climate action.
  • Share the new "Climate and Health Youth Education Toolkit."
