Meghan Mitman, AICP, Principal, Fehr & Peers, Walnut Creek, California Meghan Mitman is a Principal with over 18 years of experience, and the Regional Principal-in-Charge for Fehr & Peers’ San Francisco Bay Area four-office region. She specializes in complete streets planning and safety, which has included co-authoring the multi-award winning California Pedestrian Safety and Bicycle Safety Assessments Technical Guidebooks, and teaching as a instructor for the FHWA and Caltrans on complete streets planning, safety, and design. She was also the co-author for the ITE Recommended Practice on Accommodating Pedestrians and Bicyclists at Interchanges, the ITE Practitioners’ Guide for Curbside Management, and the ITE/Vision Zero Network’s Core Elements of Vision Zero national benchmark. Meghan is the current Vice Chair of the ITE Safety Council and Vision Zero Task Force, and was the founding chair of the ITE Complete Streets Council. Robert Wunderlich, P.E., Director | Center for Transportation Safety, Texas A&M Transportation Institute Robert Wunderlich, Fellow of ITE, has led the team responsible for assembling the ITE Safety Resources Toolbox, and has significantly contributed to the overarching focus on Vision Zero principles championed by the Institute of Transportation Engineers and its Vision Zero Task Force. Robert is currently the Director of the Center for Transportation Safety at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, and a Past International President of ITE. Diwu Zhou, PE, RSP1, Senior Engineer | Fehr & Peers | Long Beach, CA, United States Diwu Zhou, PE, RSP1, is a Senior Transportation Engineer at Fehr & Peers in the Southern California Region. Diwu is passionate about balancing the often-conflicting needs of mobility and safety, and specializes in multimodal safety analytics, intermodal freight, and traffic operations analysis. He has over 6 years of experience managing projects and teaching courses.Diwu is committed to being at the forefront of safety best practices and innovations and serves as a key member of the firm’s Multimodal Safety and Traffic Operations Discipline Group. He is the author of the soon-to-be-released ITE Technical Brief on Applications of Big Data in Safety Analysis and is the lead Instructor for the Synchro and SimTraffic course the University of California, Berkely, Institute of Transportation Studies.
