Description

Representing a business entity before the IRS is different than representing an individual taxpayer. This course provides an overview of the key differences and special considerations related to representation of business entities.

    Ricardo Rivas has been an enrolled agent since 1996 after he had worked in the tax profession for over ten years. He is a proud member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and is a fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute.

    He has been self-employed for over 35 years, started his tax preparation business in Santa Ana, California and relocated to Texas in 2001. He served as Treasurer, 2nd Vice President, and President of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents. He has testified before the Texas Congress on behalf of Tax Preparers.

    Ricardo has a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in Finance. He is in demand as a tax practice speaker, he is a popular speaker at the Regional Practitioner’s Meetings, and a popular discussion leader at NTPI. Ricardo is also a life member of Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society that recognizes academic excellence in business administration programs. He has a vast knowledge in taxpayer representation in IRS audits and tax resolution as well as the preparation of complex tax returns for Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs, Trust and Non-Profit organizations.
