The U.S. has always attracted people from every corner of the world. As always, tax must be a relevant consideration for any individual migrating to the U.S. Tax residency is a concept quite different than residency for immigration purposes. This session will provide a review of the concept of tax residency and will focus on scenarios where an individual is a dual resident for tax purposes. This course will also provide an overview of applicable forms to such scenarios.

After attending the session, the participant will be able to:
- Determine tax residency for individuals immigrating to the U.S.
- Identifypotential tax implications for nonresidents.
- Determinefiling requirements for dual residents.
