ICD Panel: "Neurodiversity" (CR1-758)

This interactive and engaging session introduces participants to issues involving clients affected by neurodiversities including ADHD, depression, anxiety, hoarding behavior and conditions that may evolve as our clients age. They will meet a variety of clients through case studies and explore resources to support them.

Using interactive strategies including role playing, small group discussion, and in-presentation surveys participants will be guided to recognize situations where additional resources may be necessary, practice conversations with clients and determine if this work is a good fit for them.

Objectives:

  • Recognize common behaviors and attributes of clients with neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Hoarding Behavior, and the impacts of Aging.
  • Understand the prevalence of these populations within your client base.
  • Evaluate your skills for supporting neurodiverse clients
