Description
As a
national library, the British Library has been collecting patents and many
other items of scientific and innovative significance over the
decades. This talk will highlight the special subject collections
that are of importance for technology, engineering, and scientific
research. Delivering the talk will be the British Library’s
Intellectual Property Expert, Jeremy O’Hare, who has worked on the Innovating
for Growth and Erasmus for Young Business projects which have help hundreds of
businesses innovate and grow. Jeremy will also discuss the work of
the PatLib network in the UK, the Intellectual Property Office, European Patent
Office and other information partners. Our host, Seema Rampersad, SLA President-Elect
and currently Service Manager of the Business & IP Centre, will discuss how
the Centre supports reference and enquiry work for the tech, engineering, and
