Abstract: Currently many owners are implementing new projects in the oil and gas field with a current trend of small to medium companies implementing expansion projects in the field as such they do not have the experience within the refineries to implement the business management programs required to develop capital EPCM projects.

This presentation is based on the implementation of an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) to develop the Business Management aspects of the program. The program will review development and demonstrate examples of:

  • Project Execution Plan (PEP)
  • Procedures
  • Planning & Scheduling
  • Cost Control
  • Earned Value Management
  • Change Control
  • Risk Management
  • Procurement
  • Contract Administration
  • Auditing Steps

The program is based on a review of North American and International Projects that have been implemented for a value of over $8 billion. It will demonstrate practical examples of each phase and a recommended development program.
