Archived Webinar: Effective Communication Through High Quality Reporting

The most common conduit for relaying information to management is through the use of published reports. The objective of developing and publishing reports is to deliver accurate information in a timely manner that drives well-informed decision making. However, many reports add little or no value to corporate decision making because of how they are developed and published. Over time, these ineffective reports not only waste money, but also erode the credibility of information sources as well as the trust of their leadership. In summary, achieving and sustaining timely and high-quality published reporting is a critical success factor for all industries. The survey research discussed in this presentation will reveal key insights from a large and diverse group of experienced professionals in the oil and gas industry. The objective of this study is to heighten awareness of common gaps found in the typical reporting process by a consensus of industry professionals. This awareness will enable us to use this information to improve communication through the development and use of a report quality assurance process.
