About this Draft Recommended Practice:
RP 41R-08, formerly Range Estimating, has been rescoped. It is now titled "Understanding Estimate Ranging". The revised RP defines estimate ranging as a general class of QRA practices with multiple variants (including Range Estimating). The RP purpose is to describe the general method, typical variations and typical use cases. The RP also highlights estimate ranging's significant use limitations in regards to meeting general QRA principles (i.e., RP 40R-08).

This draft RP is open for review and comment until December 4, 2021 on the AACE Communities, at the following link.

About Recommended Practices Public Review:
AACE welcomes public review, comment, and dialog for recommended practices (RP) that are under development. The public review utilizes the knowledge of subject matter experts that have specific industry experience and perspective in order to help strengthen RP quality. The public review period for RP’s is 45 days and all input must be provided during that time period. All comments on RP’s are considered public and open records; therefore, by providing input on RP’s, you are giving consent for the use of your comments and suggestions. All comments shall be professional and in alignment with established industry practices. Please tell your colleagues about this open review period and encourage them to provide their feedback on an industry wide document.
