Dr. Ophira Ginsburg

Dr. Ginsburg is a medical oncologist and global women’s health researcher with nearly 20 years of experience in cancer prevention and control. Formerly based at the University of Toronto, Canada, she was a Medical Officer at the World Health Organization Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland (2015-2016) and continues to serve as an ad hoc consultant to several UN agencies. From 2017-2021 she was the Director of the High-Risk Cancer Genetics Program at Perlmutter Cancer Center, and an Associate Professor at NYU School of Medicine. In June 2021 she was appointed as a Senior Visiting Scientist at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the WHO’s specialized cancer agency in Lyon, France. Her research is focused on improving equitable access to breast and cervical cancer prevention and control, with funding from Grand Challenges Canada, Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute, Canadian Institutes for Health Research, and the U.S. National Institutes of Health. She has authored >100 publications including commentaries in The Lancet, The Lancet Global Health, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Cancer, and Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology. She led a 3-part Series: “Health, equity, and women’s cancers”, published in The Lancet in 2016, and currently co-chairs the Lancet Commission on women and cancer.
Dr. Raúl Murillo

Javeriana Center for Oncology, University Hospital, Colombia

MD, MPH, Fellow PAHO International Health, PhDc. Currently Director of the Javeriana Oncology Center (San Ignacio University Hospital - Bogotá, Colombia), Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine - Pontifical Javeriana University (Bogotá-Colombia), and Senior Visiting Scientist at the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Formerly Director General of the National Cancer Institute of Colombia, the oficial advisor of the Ministry of Helath for developing and implementing cancer prevention and control policies. About 20 years of cancer research with emphasis on early diagnosis of breast and cervical cancer in low- and middle-income countries. Collaborative external consultant for institutions such as the Breast Health Global Initiative, American Association for Cancer Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology, World Health Organization, and Pan American Health Organization.
Dr. Anne Rositch

Department of Epidemiology, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA

Dr. Anne F. Rositch is an epidemiologist and implementation scientist, concentrating on cancer in women and global cancer disparities. Currently, Dr. Rositch is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. For over 15 years, her research has focused on HPV and cervical cancer in HIV-positive individuals, aging women, and in low-resource settings. It has spanned the translational spectrum from epidemiological studies to understand the natural history of the disease, to studying the effectiveness and implementation of cervical cancer prevention in low-resource settings. Her recent work is specifically focused on leveraging her training in Implementation Science and experience in global cancer research to implement novel multidisciplinary and multilevel approaches for cancer control in low-resource global settings.
