    Dr. Sasine is a Hematologist and Oncologist at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is the Medical Director of the Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell (CAR-T) Program. He treats patients with blood and bone marrow disorders such as leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, aplastic anemia, Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia, polycythemia vera, primary myelofibrosis, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), hemolytic anemia, hemophilia, blood clotting disorders, and others. Dr. Sasine also performs hematopoietic cell transplants (bone marrow transplants). Dr. Sasine is a physician-scientist and actively conducts laboratory research studying how cancer cells in the bone marrow persist by support from their non-cancerous neighboring cells; the goal of the work is to discover novel therapeutic avenues by disrupting these interactions.
