The Doctor is Out, but the Practice is Open: Billing for a covering doctor

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons may need to be away from their practices for a variety of reasons. Circumstances such as conferences, vacations and sick leave do not have to lead to a decrease in patients seen at a practice or require an office to close. During this 60-minute webinar, participants will review locum tenens/fee-for-time and reciprocal arrangements to help keep an office operating during an absence.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• Explain fee-for-time/locum tenens compensation arrangements.
• Define reciprocal billing.
• Discuss various payer guidelines for fee-for-time arrangements
  and/or reciprocal billing.
• Review CMS documentation requirements for fee-for-time
  compensation arrangements.
• Describe modifier guidelines.
• Apply tips for fee-for-time and reciprocal billing agreements.

Cancellation Policy: Registrants will receive a full refund up until the day before the event. No refund will be given for cancellation on the day of the event.
