Untangling and Resolving Coding Edits

Description

Overview:
Synopsis: The National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits and Medically Unlikely Edits (MUEs) can be difficult and time consuming to resolve. It is often unclear where to find information and who is going to research the edit to determine whether a modifier is appropriate or if an unbundling situation is present. Without understanding the edits and how to resolve them appropriately, efforts may be duplicated, and revenue may be lost. This session will address these concerns and provide examples and strategies to mitigate the edits.
