AAP is celebrating the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act by offering a free video / webinar activity, More Than Just a Game: The Public Health Impact of Sports and Physical Activity for People with Disabilities, featuring Spaulding’s Cheri Blauwet, MD. This DeLisa Lecture, originally presented at the 2017 AAP Annual Meeting, focuses on how to implement universal design in sports/physical activity programs, the public health implications of engaging people with disabilities in sports and physical activity, and the emergence of the field of Paralympic Sports Medicine.
Dr. Blauwet is a three-time Paralympian and uses personal anecdotes to emphasize key messages.
This activity is generously supported by Spaulding Rehabilitation Network ensuring the important content is readily available to all physicians.
Physicians can claim CME for free by completing the pre-assessment, watching the video presentation, and taking the post-assessment and evaluation, HERE.
