Xiang Qian, MD, PhD
Xiang Qian, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Professor of Pain Medicine and Neurosurgery by Courtesy at Stanford University. He is also the inaugural Stanford Medicine Endowed Director. Dr. Qian’s clinical interests include the treatment of acute and chronic pain, with special interest in migraine, headache, trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, atypical facial pain, cancer pain, back pain, joint pain, nerve pain, and others. Dr. Qian is the faculty professor of Stanford Wearable Electronics Initiative (eWEAR) and has been working with colleagues from engineering school to develop mini implantable nerve stimulator, powered by wireless energy.

Narayan R. Kissoon, MD
Narayan R. Kissoon, M.D. is an assistant professor with a dual appointment in Neurology and Anesthesia that is board certified in Neurology, Pain Medicine, and Headache. His clinical practice primarily involves interventional pain management, but with a special focus in interventional management of craniofacial pain and neuromodulation. He studies the mechanisms of action and clinical outcomes in treatments for headache and chronic pain. This research includes clinical trials investigating the efficacy of minimally invasive percutaneous interventions and the impact of pain treatments on nervous system function. Dr. Kissoon also investigates the abnormal function and structural causes of pain disorders. As part of his research, he reviews the clinical features that predict successful treatment outcomes.

Samer N. Narouze, MD PhD
Dr. Narouze chairs the Center for Pain Medicine at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He is a professor of Surgery at NOMED, clinical professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at OUCOM, and a clinical professor of Neurological Surgery at OSU. He is considered an expert consultant in Headaches and Pain Medicine and has served as an editor and medical reviewer in several Headache and Pain Medicine journals. Dr. Narouze is board certified in pain medicine, neurology headache medicine, interventional pain management, as well as anesthesiology. He founded the American Interventional Headache Society in 2015 and he is the president-elect for American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and serves in many committees for AAPM and other national and international headache and pain organizations.
