Lynn Kohan, MD
Dr. Lynn Kohan is a professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Virginia. She currently serves as the Division Chief and Medical Director of Pain Medicine as well as the Program Director of the Chronic Pain Fellowship. She serves on the BOD of AAPM as well as the chair of the fellowship committee. She is also a member of the development task force and research committee. She was recently elected to the BOD of ASRA Pain Medicine and begins her term in April 2023. She serves as the chair of the membership committee for ASRA Pain Medicine. Additionally, she is the current president-elect for the specialty program directors of the SAAAPM and the president of the APPD. She serves on numerous editorial board for pain medicine journals and is an invited national speaker.

Timothy Furnish, MD

Timothy Furnish, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist who specializes in pain management. As a pain management specialist, he evaluates, diagnoses and treats all forms of pain, particularly chronic pain and acute, post-surgical pain. Dr. Furnish initiated and is now director of the inpatient pain consult services at UC San Diego Health’s Center for Pain Medicine. The inpatient pain consult service sees patients either before or after surgery to help their surgeons develop a post-operative pain management plan to facilitate recovery and comfort, and reduce the chances of developing chronic pain. His research and clinical focuses are on chronic neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, back pain and perioperative pain.
Prior to joining the faculty at UC San Diego Health, he was a fellow in pain management at UC San Diego Health. He completed residency training in anesthesiology at UC San Diego Health and earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He also holds a master’s degree in social work from University of Kansas. Dr. Furnish is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine.

Sean Li, MD
Dr. Li specializes in interventional pain management at the National Spine & Pain Centers. His clinical interest is in neuromodulation therapy such as spinal cord stimulation, high-frequency stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation. Prior to joining , Dr. Li served as the medical director of Premier Pain Centers LLC. In addition to his work at National Spine & Pain Centers, Dr. Li continues to serve as an attending physician at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. He has published numerous professional articles and written textbook chapters on the topic of pain and is actively involved in clinical research that will help advance the field of interventional pain medicine. Dr. Li earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and underwent residency training in general surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and later in anesthesiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He completed his fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
