Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is my user sign in information?
A: If you are an AAPS member, please use your member credentials to sign in. If you do not have a login or are not an AAPS member, please select "Create User Profile" to continue.
Q: How long are the AAPS lectures?
A: The lectures run between 45 and 60 minutes each with an evaluation following lecture content.
Q: How can I access the content I recently purchased?
A: Simply sign back in to the system and click on the purchased content under the media library tab on the left of your screen.
Q: Does AAPS accept purchase orders?
A: AAPS does not accept purchase orders or government training forms. Federal tax ID #521444968.
Q: How many times can I listen to the lecture?
A: You may listen to the lecture as many times as you would like during the 6 month access period.
Q: Why are there Flash and MP4 versions of the lectures?
A. Some Apple products do not currently support the Flash format. We have provided the MP4 version for users interested in viewing the course on their iPad device. Once you purchase a lecture you will have access to use either format. Please note that you must take the test after the Flash presentation to receive a certificate of completion.
Q: Do I have to view the presentation in one sitting?
A: If for any reason you have to close the Flash presentation prior to completion, when you return the presentation will begin where you have left off. Please note that MP4s do not have the same functionality.
Q: Why can't I view the presentation?
A: You may only view biographies and preview samples prior to purchase. To activate the "View Presentation" buttons you must purchase the lecture.
Q: When will I gain access to the test?
A: Once you have viewed the Flash presentation to 100% you will gain access to your test. Please complete the test as well as the course evaluation to receive your certificate of completion.
Q: How many attempts will I have to pass the exam?
A: You will have five (5) attempts to take the exam. Failure to pass the exam after five attempts will result in the need to repurchase the lecture.
Q: What is the optimal screen resolution?
A: Based on our testing procedures, we recommend 1024x768.
Q: Do I have to enable cookies to use your web application?
A: Yes. Cookies are a safe way for us to remember a few key elements about you. This will allow you to take advantage of the customizable elements on our site.
Q: What browsers do you support?
A: The site runs without issues on the top 3 browsers: Internet Explorer (PC), Firefox (PC and Mac) and Safari (Mac).
Q: Can I change my username?
A: No. Your username is your permanent identity on this site.
Q: Why can't I hear the audio when I'm watching a video?
A: To make sure that you hear sound while watching videos, please check the volume controls on your computer. Also, be sure to increase the volume on your video player.
