    Justin Feigelman is a Senior Scientist in the department of Preclinical and Translational PKPD at Genentech. Justin's background is in the area of mathematical modeling, especially in stochastic dynamical systems and advanced methodologies for parameter inference. Since 2017, his work has focused on applying QSP modeling techniques to capture the pathophysiology of diseases such as asthma, COPD and IBD. These efforts have been used to support decision making and mechanistic understanding in several clinical programs. In addition, Justin is interested in improving methodology and technology for QSP modeling and virtual population generation. This work has led the development of internal tools and methods, and to co-creation of gQSPSim, a publicly available MATLAB toolbox for enabling common QSP related tasks. Further interests include improvements to computational methodology including parallelization and cloud-computing technologies, and the use of machine learning to support QSP modeling.
