  • Neil Mathias, Ph.D.

    Dr. Neil Mathias is a Research Fellow in the Drug Product Science & Technology Department at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., in New Brunswick, NJ. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

    He has 20 years in the biopharmaceutics & drug delivery field working with small molecule, peptide, biologic and nucleic acid modalities for delivery through oral, non-oral and injectable routes of administration. In his current role, he responsible for biopharmaceutical risk assessment of new molecular entities in exploratory clinical development and life-cycle of mature products. Neil, also leads a team to identify and recommend external drug delivery technologies to in-license and enable pipeline assets.

    Neil has 32 publications in peer-reviewed pharmaceutical journals. He has authored book chapters and patents, and has been invited to speak at several national and international conferences, workshops and universities.
