In this session, Kit Cramer, CCE, President & CEO of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, will share the story of the chamber's WomanUP program, which provides professional education, mentoring, and inspiration to women at all ages and career stages in the Asheville area. With over 2,700 participants in its two-year, eight-event history, the program sponsors the largest gathering of businesswomen in the region and is a solid revenue producer for the chamber. WomanUp speaks directly to the Horizon Initiative-identified trends of Population Shift as it relates to the role of women in business leadership, increasing leadership of Millennials in the workplace, and making diversity and inclusion a priority.
