Megan has been the CEO and Chief Economic Development Officer of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance the regional
chamber and economic development organization since 2014 . She was hired to
reestablish the regional economic development organization while charting a course
for merger with the regional chamber of commerce. Today, she leads a team of
ten as the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance the region’s chamber and
economic development organization. She as an
entrepreneurial business and
economic development thought leader in the region
providing innovative, forward-thinking leadership for the region and the Alliance.
Megan is a seasoned community
and economic development professional with a career
in the industry that spans
more than 19
years and includes the states of Tennessee, Nebraska and Virginia. She received her IOM from the US Chamber of Commerce,
Certification in Economic Development from the International Economic Development
Council and is Certified Chamber of
Commerce Executive (CCE) from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Megan is the current Chair of the US
Chamber of Commerce
Institute Board of Trustees and also an
Institute instructor teaching a variety of courses to include Volunteer Management,Marketing
Strategies, Strategic Leadership, Organizational Leadership and
Economic Development. In 2019 Megan was invited to be a
member of the Chamber of Commerce
Committee of 100 (CCC100) an select group of chamber executives that represents
the perspectives and needs of chambers and their members to the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce.
Megan is the recipient of the Omaha Public Power District Community
Leadership Award, Bellevue Nebraska Person of the Year 2011 award,Women
of Distinction Award and 40 under 40 awards. In January 2017,Megan was named as one of North America's top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect.
Megan was born and
raised on a Black Angus Cattle ranch
in central Missouri. She received her
Bachelor of Arts from Culver-Stockton College, Canton Missouri and Master of Science from
the University of Memphis, Memphis TN.
Megan moved to Virginia in March of 2012 with her husband Tory Lucas, professor of Law at Liberty
University.

Tony Vedda, CCE, IOM
Tony has
been the Chamber's President & CEO since 2007, following two years of
service on the Board of Directors. His career in chamber management began
thirty years ago as a membership specialist for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber
of Commerce. Since that time he has worked with several general market chambers
in Arizona and California, as well as five years as Executive Director of San
Francisco's Golden Gate Business Association, the nation's first LGBT chamber
of commerce.
Tony is one
of less than 200 active chamber leaders, and the only LGBT chamber leader, to
receive the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation from the Association
of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). He is also a graduate of the US
Chamber's Institute for Organization Management (IOM). Tony has served on the
US Chamber West Institute Board of Regents and the Institute Board of Trustees.
He currently serves on the boards of the North Texas Commission, Visit Dallas,
where he chairs the Governance Committee, and ACCE, where he chairs the Audit
Committee. He is a member of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE),
as well as Leadership San Francisco, and Leadership Dallas alumni associations.
