Certificate in Chamber Management | Governance & Planning



In this Certificate in Chamber Management program course, gain a foundational understanding of basic principles underlying strategic leadership of a chamber or other nonprofit organizations. Sessions provide insights into the foundational documents needed for a solid governance structure, review the function and responsibilities of a board of directors, describe effective board management strategies and introduce the strategic planning process. Presented by Jeremy Arthur, CCE, IOM, Government & Economic Development Institute, Auburn University; Claire Louder, IOM, CAE, MPP Louder NonProfit Strategies, LLC; and Julie Meehan, PhD, J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.

This course includes approximately three hours of content and provides support for skills and competencies within the Chamber Body of Knowledge areas of General Management, Governance, Decision Making, and Strategic Planning. Short assessments are included after each presentation. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, shareable social graphics and three Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) points. Assignment and assessment grading, along with certificate awards, take place every Friday for all tasks completed within the preceding week.
