Certificate in Chamber Management | Events, Programs, & Communications

Chambers of commerce rely on events and programs to create business networking opportunities, deliver professional development, strengthen community ties and raise non-dues revenue. Impactful chamber communications help tell the stories of your chamber and its members. They also ensure awareness around chamber events, programs and initiatives and communicate the value of your organization to key stakeholders. This course provides fundamentals on event planning, including budgeting, event sponsorship, considerations for ensuring inclusive events, and more. It also provides insights and best practices to help you meet your chamber's communications goals. Presented by Maile Ilac Boeder, Executive Director, The Leadership Center; Tamela Blalock, MBA, CAE, CMP, DES, Principal, Blalock Consulting; Michelle West, Founder and President, ChamberSpeak.

This course includes approximately 2.5 hours of content and provides support for skills and competencies within the Chamber Body of Knowledge areas of Events, Programs, and Communications. Short assessments and/or assignments are included after each presentation. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, shareable social graphics and three Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) points. Assignment and assessment grading, along with certificate awards, take place every Friday for all tasks completed within the preceding week.
