It is critical that chambers and the professionals who manage them develop a strategy for engaging the public sector. In this Certificate in Chamber Management program course, gain a foundational understanding of basic principles underlying community leadership & advocacy of a chamber or other nonprofit organization. Sessions provide insights into the introduction of advocacy, review the chamber's role in economic development and education & talent development. Presented by Gene Barr, Former CEO & Current Advisor, PA Chamber; Betsy McGriff, Associate Project Manager, Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute; Ian Fletcher, CCE, Chief Operating Officer, Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce.

This course includes approximately 2 hours of content and provides support for skills and competencies within the Chamber Body of Knowledge areas of Consensus Building, Public Policy Development and Advocacy, and Economic Development and Talent Attraction. Short assessments are included after each presentation. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, shareable social graphics and three Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) points.
