Certificate in Chamber Management | Your Chamber Career

Chambers of commerce have been around for more than 200 years - many were founded before the communities they serve. But in order to survive in today's uncertain and complex environment, chamber leaders need skills and organizational capabilities different from those that helped them succeed in the past. In this course, learn about the dynamic role of chambers today and the role chamber professionals play in ensuring their relevance and positive impact on their communities. You will also learn how to identify your own leadership style, what it means to lead with emotional intelligence, and how you can address your weaknesses and enhance your strengths. Presented by Sheree Anne Kelly, President & CEO, Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives; and Christine Kennedy, CCE, IOM, CPC, ELI-MP, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President, Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance.

This course includes approximately 1.5 hours of content and provides support for skills and competencies within the Chamber Body of Knowledge areas of Governance and Leadership. Short assessments are included after each presentation. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, shareable social graphics and two Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) points. Assignment and assessment grading, along with certificate awards, take place every Friday for all tasks completed within the preceding week.
