2024 Talent and Economic Development Annual Meeting

Description

Event Overview

Now more than ever, chamber professionals are stepping into roles that require an intersectional, inclusive approach to solve complex community challenges around education needs, talent development and economic and community growth. The business community is increasingly turning to chambers to convene and collaborate with community partners to address these evolving challenges.

To assist chambers and their community impact efforts, the ACCE Foundation is excited to host the Talent and Economic Development Meeting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, May 22 – 23, 2024. This two-day gathering brings together chamber of commerce education, talent development and economic development professionals for networking, learning and conversation. For economic developers, the event also includes an optional site consultant program.

See the agenda tab for each day’s planned sessions and the topics we’ll be covering.

Site Consultant Program: The site consultant program is an add-on experience geared towards economic developers. It is a great opportunity to get one-on-one time with active site consultants. The program includes a networking dinner with consultants and a half-day session to hear their insights on trends, shifts in the market and what they are hearing from companies.

Confirmed consultants are:

  • Rajeev Thakur, Senior Managing Director, JLL
  • Amy Gerber, Executive Managing Director, Business Incentives Practice, Cushman & Wakefield
Thank you to our hosts, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
