Mark Harvey was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada. From a young age he has immersed himself in sales. Currently, Mark is
the Business Development Manager for the Salt Lake Chamber, awarded a 4-star
accreditation this year from the US Chamber. In the position of BD Manager, he
is responsible for membership growth and revenue; particularly, for the Board
of Governors. From the start of his career with the Chamber in June of 2016, Board
membership (a $10,000 investment) has expanded from 60 members to over 200
members. In 2019 he received ACCE’s Gold Lifetime Achievement Award for
$500,000 in new business dollars (excluding upgrades). This year he was
admitted into ACCE’s Million Dollar Circle for $1,000,000 in new business
dollars (excluding upgrades) on 230 career NB sales. He has upgraded 68 members
for $492,000, an average of $7,235.29. He is on target to hit ACCE’s highest
award given, the Diamond Award for those who have achieved $1.5 million,
sometime in April of 2022.
He previously worked for the National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB) for 23 years where he held positions of Field Sales
Representative and Sales Director I, II, and III. During his tenure at NFIB he became
one of its most successful sales representatives in their history, earning top
sales rep in the Salt Lake Division 14 times, President’s Club for being in the
top 10% of sales reps in the nation 16 times, becoming the number one sales rep
in the U.S. 3 times, and being presented the Lifetime Achievement Award, given
to those who represent the best of the best in the company’s 78-year history
(so far, only 15 have been given this honor). His enthusiasm and passion are
contagious. He is a hard worker and a valuable leader on any team.
Mark graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University
of Alberta (Italian major), a second bachelor’s degree (Business Administration
major) from Utah State University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Mark has been married to his wife Marlene for 41 years. They
have two sons, two daughters and 11 grandchildren whom he adores—the
grandchildren, that is, not the kids. His new love is Pickleball, though a
recent torn meniscus has delayed temporarily his Olympic training. He has won 4
Gold Medals at the 3.5 Level. He served as a church missionary in Italy for two
years. Mark and his wife currently reside in Syracuse, Utah.
