  • Megan Lucas, CCE, CEcD, IOM

    Megan has been the CEO and Chief Economic Development Officer of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance the regional chamber and economic development organization since 2014 . She was hired to reestablish the regional economic development organization while charting a course for merger with the regional chamber of commerce. Today, she leads a team of ten as the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance the region’s chamber and economic development organization. She as an entrepreneurial business and economic development thought leader in the region providing innovative, forward-thinking leadership for the region and the Alliance.

    Megan is a seasoned community and economic development professional with a career in the industry that spans more than 19 years and includes the states of Tennessee, Nebraska and Virginia. She received her IOM from the US Chamber of Commerce, Certification in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council and is Certified Chamber of Commerce Executive (CCE) from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.

    Megan is the current Chair of the US Chamber of Commerce Institute Board of Trustees and also an Institute instructor teaching a variety of courses to include Volunteer Management,Marketing Strategies, Strategic Leadership, Organizational Leadership and Economic Development. In 2019 Megan was invited to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 (CCC100) an select group of chamber executives that represents the perspectives and needs of chambers and their members to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

    Megan is the recipient of the Omaha Public Power District Community Leadership Award, Bellevue Nebraska Person of the Year 2011 award,Women of Distinction Award and 40 under 40 awards. In January 2017,Megan was named as one of North America's top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect.

    Megan was born and raised on a Black Angus Cattle ranch in central Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Culver-Stockton College, Canton Missouri and Master of Science from the University of Memphis, Memphis TN. Megan moved to Virginia in March of 2012 with her husband Tory Lucas, professor of Law at Liberty University.

  • Jim Page

    Jim became President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on January 1, 2012. He is responsible for management of the professional staff and has oversight of all chamber programs. Jim serves as lead spokesman for the Chamber on all public policy issues, economic development projects, and strategic community initiatives. He represents the Chamber's interests to the media, community leaders, and elected officials as well as through active involvement in local, state, and national organizations.

    A past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama, Jim serves on the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Alabama and of ACCE, where he chairs its University Communities Council and is a member of the CCE Commission. He is an appointed member of the Tuscaloosa County Road Improvement Commission and is founding Chairman of the Alliance for Alabama's Infrastructure. Jim also serves on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Partnership for Children and is a member of the Alabama School Readiness Alliance Pre-K Task Force.

    In 2009, Jim was recognized nationally by ACCE as one of 40 Under 40: Rising Stars of the Chamber World. He received the 2015 Jamie Wallace Award in recognition of “exceptional leadership, service and dedication to the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama” and was named the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Thompson/Seymour Leadership Award by the Business Council of Alabama. In 2018, Jim was honored by his peers as the Alabama Chamber Professional of the Year.

    Prior to his tenure in Tuscaloosa, Jim served nine years as Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development for the Decatur-Morgan County (AL) Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa, Leadership Morgan County, Leadership Alabama, and the U.S. Chamber's Institute for Organization Management (IOM). Jim also holds the professional designations of Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) and Alabama Accredited Chamber Executive (AACE). He earned a degree in Political Science and Marketing from the University of North Alabama, where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees.

  • Susan O'Sullivan McGuire

    Susan McGuire is the Senior Director of Professional Development and Programs at ACCE. Her job is to build and oversee the online and in-person training and peer support opportunities our members need to thrive in their careers and contribute to the success of their chambers and communities. She also runs the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) program and is staff liaison to the Membership Development Division, Events Division, Finance & Operations Division, and the Emerging Cities Council.

    Susan has been at ACCE since October 2014. In past lives she’s been a Capitol Hill staffer, a litigation attorney, the director of operations for a regional choral society, and an (amateur) vocalist in a band specializing in country and classic rock favorites. She lives in northern Virginia with her husband Randy, two daughters, and two senior standard poodles, Abby and Penny.
