Welcome to the Virtual Board of Governors Exam Review Course!

We are eager to present this program in a virtual format.

The Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management (BoG Exam) is a comprehensive multiple-choice exam testing 10 core healthcare management knowledge areas. This multi-week virtual review course provides the opportunity to gain insight and information into all 10 core knowledge areas; explore effective test-taking strategies; review sample test questions; and gain a better understanding of the exam’s content, structure and scoring.

Whether you use the course to set the foundation for your study or take it as the culmination of your review efforts, upon completion of this virtual review course, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify knowledge gaps and needed areas of focus.
  • Apply test-taking strategies to their exam experience.
  • Earn ACHE Face-to-Face Education credit.
  • Confidently move forward with their exam preparation.

Before we get started, let's review some of the steps required to participate in this program and the steps needed to receive credits for your participation.

Course Structure:
The course is organized by week with a total of 9 required sessions covering the 10 knowledge areas covered on the exam and one optional Q&A session.

In preparation for Week 3's Finance sessions, Dr. Cristian Lieneck has provided preparation materials to review before the finance sessions. The finance preparation materials include a pre-recorded webinar and pre-session assignment problems located on the course site, in the section entitled, "Finance Module Pre-Session Assignments and Additional Materials". The pre-recorded webinar covers financial accounting refresher material. Please review the webinar and pre-session assignment problems before attending the first Finance live session.

Finally, there will be an optional Q&A session scheduled for Session 10. At this time, ACHE staff will be on-hand to answer questions about the exam, FACHE requirements and exam preparation.

In each live virtual session faculty will present the material for the exam knowledge area(s) planned for that session. At the end of Weeks 1 and 3, please provide your feedback about that week via a short survey.
