Evidence-based evaluation and treatment of sexual desire disorder

Course Description
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) is a common yet often underdiagnosed condition that significantly impacts patient quality of life and relationships. Despite its prevalence, many clinicians face challenges in recognizing, assessing, and treating this condition effectively.
This webinar will provide a comprehensive clinical update on HSDD, beginning with the physiologic basis of the human sexual response cycle and an introduction to the biopsychosocial model as a framework for assessment. Participants will learn practical, evidence-based strategies for evaluating patients presenting with symptoms of low sexual desire, enabling more confident and accurate diagnosis.
The session will conclude with actionable guidance on developing a comprehensive treatment plan, including appropriate follow-up care and the role of FDA-approved therapies in managing female HSDD.
