Ms. Resh has been a CNM since 1991 and a certified sexuality counselor/CSC with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists/AASECT since 2003. She currently provides reproductive and sexual health care through Planned Parenthood League of MA as well as her private practice in sexuality counseling and women's health. In addition to her clinical practice, Evelyn writes on the topics of health and sexuality and has had two books and many articles published in the popular press. She lives and works in western MA. 

Course Description
This presentation will provide an over-view of the assessment and management of decreased libido in cis-gender women patients. Content is focused on common etiologies of this complaint and how to provide solution focused sexuality counseling to women who are disinterested in sexual activity alone or with a partner. Triage skills will be discussed for determining what is within the scope of practice of the CNM GYN care provider and when consultation and/or referral should for sex therapy is appropriate. Medication management of common discomforts and symptoms that may contribute to disinterest in sex will be discussed in brief.

Learning Objectives
1.Participants will be able to discuss the reasons for the complexity of accurately determining the prevalence of decreased libido in the general population of women.
2.Participants will be able to identify 5 exogenous factors that frequently contribute to decreased libido in women across the life-span.
3.Participants will become familiar with Rosemary Basson's model of sexual arousal in women and be able to apply this when caring for patients.
