Speaker Bio

Megan Floyd is a midwife and lead Clinical Provider for CenteringPregnancy program at ProMedica Health Systems Center for Health Women’s Services.
She is a  graduate of Frontier Nursing University’s Certified Nurse-Midwifery program and an RN from Mercy College of Northwest Ohio.
She is passionate about providing thorough healthcare to mothers and babies including prenatal and postpartum care. Megan is also a skilled Advanced Facilitator in CenteringPregancy® and is committed to promoting the importance and efficacy of group prenatal care in reducing health disparities and improving birth outcomes.

Course Description

Most midwives are familiar with Centering Pregnancy and other models of group prenatal care but may not be as familiar with providing group or dyad care postpartum. Megan Floyd, MSN, APRN-CNM, CCF, SpBCPE will describe how to transition to CenteringParenting as well as the benefits for the new family unit.

  2. Identify potential barriers to a successful transition to CenteringParenting and methods to overcome them.
