Pediatric EKGs

This session introduces participants to the basic principles of pediatric EKG interpretation. Participants will review differences in the components of an EKG between infants/children compared to adults. Participants will then practice interpreting pediatric EKGs through case vignettes. The importance of clinical context during pediatric EKG interpretation will be highlighted.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe pediatric-specific EKG components.
  • Apply EKG interpretation principles to example pediatric cases.
  • Assess pediatric EKGs in the appropriate clinical context.
