This session will provide an interactive update for primary care physicians on the management of the traveling patient, specifying what vaccines and items are required for travel as well as management of common tropical diseases if they present. Learning Objectives:

  • Identify basic pre-travel evaluation to help identify risk factors based on geographical areas traveling patients are visiting.
  • Analyze management and prevention of potential infections traveling patients may be exposed to overseas.
  • Evaluate treatment and prophylactic options for common traveler’s infections.
  • Assess preventative safety travel tools for traveling patients.
