Value-Based Care

This session will provide an overview of the differences between Value-Based Care and Managed Care and provide data to support the transition to a Value-Based Care model.

Learning objectives:

  • Differentiate between Managed Care versus Value-Based Care regarding evidence based care.
  • Evaluate the reasons for the growth of Medicare Advantage plans, regarding savings generated for patients.
  • Compare reasons for early ‘90s bad press of HMOs versus recent controversy over step care therapy.
