Military Medicine: What Civilian Physicians Should Know

This is an open panel discussion that is designed to increase awareness about military members and their unique medical restrictions and requirements. It will help lay members of the medical communities to increase awareness as to the number of those within the community who actually are part of the military and to help them better understand the implication on their performance capabilities with any medical intervention.
Learning Objectives:

  •  Increase awareness of the effects of what we do in the community that may have unforeseen impacts on military members' ability to perform their duties.
  • Increase awareness of the number of military members we inadvertently take care of who is in the reserves or guard.
