Endometriosis: Patient Centered Care

This course will communicate the management of endometriosis in a patient-centered fashion that gives an opportunity to hear their voice and needs for the care. It includes a shared-decision making framework to guide medical and surgical management of endometriosis that leads to patient satisfaction. Medical and surgical management for pain management and reproductive health will be included as well ways to communicate with various patient populations that have endometriosis, and the changing face of endometriosis. Traditional framework for endometriosis management has included offerings that do not engage patients to be active participants in their care, the new era of societal changes and access to patient-facing care resources has broadened the approach to endometriosis care. Short and long-term goals of care for endometriosis will be addressed in this course.
