Description
It is essential to ensure that all women
can access the full range of contraceptive methods in the postpartum period,
free from coercion. Healthcare professionals play a critical role in empowering
women to choose the best method for them. This session will provide information
on the importance of postpartum contraception and explain the appropriate use
of LARC-related coding, including the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code
and the International Classification of Disease, Tenth Edition (ICD-10). Participants will have the
opportunity to ask the presenter questions through a Q&A session at the end
of the webinar.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand the benefits of immediate postpartum contraceptive services
- Explain the appropriate use of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code and the International Classification of Disease, Tenth Edition (ICD-10) for LARC-related services
- Identify resources from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) available to address common LARC-related coding questions
