Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics (ECO) V3

Objectives
By completing both components (Part 1 - online and Part 2 - simulated), participants should be able to do the following:

  • List protocols for simulated cases complicated by shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, umbilical cord prolapse, and vaginal breech delivery
  • Demonstrate correct technique and performance of key responsibilities during simulated obstetric emergencies once in a simulated environment
  • Demonstrate teamwork and communication for common obstetric emergencies

Instructions for Completion
  • The online portion must be completed prior to the in-person simulation session. The course will open in a new window -- pop-ups may need to be enabled on your browser. To revisit any chapter, select Table of Contents tab in the upper right-hand corner of the course window.
  • Complete the in-person attestation after attending the in-person simulation session. This will unlock the post-test assessment. An audit will be conducted to confirm your in-person simulation attendance and you will be required to re-take your post-test if you complete it prior to attending the simulation session in-person.
  • Obtain a score of 80% or higher on the post-test. Only correct answers will be shown upon completion. If you do not score 80% or higher, you may retake the test an unlimited number of times.
  • Once you have passed the post-test your CME certificate will be available and your credits will be posted to your ACOG transcript. Save and print -- your certificate will be available for as long as you have access to the course.
