Objectives
The objectives of this unit are to list the
components of Female Sexual Interest and Arousal Disorder for diagnosis. The
unit offers a review of definitions, assessment, laboratory testing (if
needed), and current, validated scales for various sexual disorders. You will
read about how to develop a referral network, review comprehensive treatment
paradigms, and be aware of the prevalence of sexual dysfunction disorders among
your patients.
By the end of the unit, you will be able to:
- Explain the multifactorial nature of Female Sexual Dysfunction
- Recommend common nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic treatments
- How to open the discussion with patients regarding female sexual concerns
