Content: Surgeons often don’t identify anesthetic emergencies in
pediatric patients before they happen. This activity will identify and discuss
management techniques of anesthetic emergencies in children and review the “4
P’s” of pediatric anesthesia: preparation prevents poor performance.

- Identify anesthetic emergencies in pediatric practice before they happen and manage them effectively if they do happen

Teaching methods used and method of participation: video format to be viewed by the learner. In addition, the learner completes the pre and post-test and an evaluation form to receive credit.
