Description
of the course content: This activity is designed to provide a
comprehensive review of anesthesia and pain management in preparation for ABOMS
board recertification. This
activity will provide an in-depth review of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and
pharmacodynamics of anesthetic medication, describe monitoring techniques,
identify proper management of various complications, and discuss the best
anesthetic options based on patient assessment.

Description of the teaching
methods used and method of participation:
Internet-based webcast self-study. In addition, the learner completes
the pre and post-test and an evaluation form to receive credit.
