National Prosthodontic Resident Exams

The purpose of the National Prosthodontic Resident Examination (NPRE) is to allow program directors and residents the capability to assess knowledge compared with their peers. The NPRE is like the American Board of Prosthodontics Section A examination in terms of distribution of Major and Minor topic questions only. The distribution of questions has a basis in the Commission on Dental Accreditation standards for Prosthodontics; some areas of accreditation receive more focus and so should the examination. It is a goal of the NPRE committee to prepare a completely new examination each year.
