Description

The nutritional needs of women are notably different from those of men. These differences become more profound at each of the critical decades: 20s/30s, 40s/50s and 60s/beyond. Each stage of the female lifespan provides unique challenges to optimal nutrition. This course will discuss how to overcome barriers to healthy nutrition and lifestyles. Special emphasis will be placed on societal and environmental challenges for this population, including work/family balance, proliferation of fad diets and impact of hormonal shifts on nutritional needs.
