Reliance: “...A Little Help from My Friends”

Join us on Oct. 16 for our fall professionalism webinar where our speakers will look at reliance in our work, including: 

  • A General Overview on Reliance, including the Actuarial Standards Board (ASB)’s general approach to reliance, and how disclosure and other general principles apply.
  • Reliance on Other Actuaries The use of mini-case studies for each practice area will highlight how actuaries can deal with issues related to relying on other actuaries.
  • Reliance on Non-Actuaries. The use of mini-case studies for each practice area will highlight how actuaries can deal with issues related to relying on non-actuaries.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
The American Academy of Actuaries believes in good faith that attendance at this live professionalism webinar constitutes an organized activity as defined under the current Qualification Standards for Actuaries Issuing Statements of Actuarial Opinion in the United States, and that attendees may earn up to 1.8 CE credits for attending this live webinar.

REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is $50. Eligible Academy volunteers and government regulators are invited to attend free of charge. If you are an Academy volunteer, you are eligible if you are a member of an Academy committee (including boards, committees, subcommittees, work groups, task forces, etc.) and also are qualified for either a partial or total dues waiver during 2019.
