Dr. Jan Mitchell, who is accredited by the Team-Based Learning Collaborative, will provide an overview of TBL along with an example of how to convert existing lectures into interactive pre-class tutorials.
- Explain basic educational concepts behind techniques of active learning and the flipped classroom, particularly focusing on the team-based learning technique.
- Describe techniques for redesigning course modules as an active-learning session that promotes critical thinking.
- Explain how an existing lecture can be converted into an interactive tutorial for pre-class study.
