Suddenly an Online Educator? Best Practices for Those New to eLearning

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many dental educators find themselves teaching online for the first time. Suddenly, virtual tools that might have been an accessory to the classroom environment are now the main method of content delivery, interaction and assessment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Analyze literature related to online engagement.
  2. Identify immediate actions a new online educator should take.
  3. Discuss common concerns about and solutions for teaching online.

The American Dental Education Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.

An evaluation form is available to participants after the conclusion of the webinar. To earn continuing education (CE) credit for participation in the webinar, the online evaluation must be completed in full by April 15, 2023. After completing the evaluation, webinar participants can print and save the CE Verification Form.
