Virtual Clinic Curriculum and Competency Assessments (Part Two)

As dental education continues to adapt to the pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic, please join us in the fourth installment of our ADEA CCI Just in Time webinar series. In this session we will examine another approach to Virtual Clinic Curriculum and Competency Assessments as they were handled by the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston for their D3/D4 students.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the approach taken by the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston to rapidly adjust their live, patient-based clinical curriculum into a virtual environment for D3 and D4 students
  2. Identify methods for assessing competencies virtually 
  3. Evaluate common barriers and solutions to virtual clinical curriculum and competency assessments including scheduling, faculty preparation, and technology support
